You can begin preventing mould from recurring after you have removed existing mould. When it comes to fitted bedroom units and wardrobes, it is more difficult to move them away from the walls for some circulation. Even so, hope remains, as you can still take steps.

By drilling holes in the back of the wardrobe, you can provide some much-needed ventilation, which will allow excess moisture to escape. Alternatively, keeping Fitted Walk-In Wardrobes (even if it is just at a constant low temperature) will help prevent damp.

Taking these measures may not be enough to resolve the problem, so you should consider moving the wardrobe. The cost of replacing a wardrobe and carpet is not something we want to pay for, but there are other options. It will not cost you anything to remove the bedroom doors and go for an open style storage theme. A fitted wardrobe may not be salvageable in some instances due to severe damp. If this is the case, you might be better off choosing a free-standing wardrobe or an open shelving unit.
